Phenol Formaldehyde Liquid Resin AL 421


Phenol Formaldehyde Liquid Resin AL 421 is a thermosetting liquid resin, which meets all the requirements for a WBP (Water Boil Proof) type adhesive. The powdered hardener filler is added to the liquid prior to use.
The adhesive produces a water-resistant bond and used in hot bonding only.

Application

  • Glue for manufacture of WBP plywood
  • Glue for block board
  • Glue for other wooden products for exterior use with high humidity and moisture

Storage

Store in a cool and dry place. At 20ᴼC it may be stored for about 3 months and for shorter duration at higher temperatures depending on the initial viscosity. The limiting factor is the viscosity which will increase as a function of time. The rate of viscosity increase is dependent on temperature, and consequently the storage time will be related to the temperature at which the resin is stored.

If the storing conditions are extremely unfavorable the resin may gelatinize in the drums and will thus be unfit for use.

Water Based Adhesive AL 7100


SEMI-FINISHED UREA FORMALDEHYDE RESIN

AL 7100 is a Semi-Finished Urea Formaldehyde Resin (UF). It is viscous liquid consisting of urea formaldehyde polymer and water.

Application

  • A finished resin is produced by mixing AL 7100 with Urea and Water (optional). The Molar Ratio can be adjusted by the end user. The finished product is particularly suitable where fast curing and efficiency is required and can be used with mixed tropical wood species.
  • It can be used as a neat resin or with hardener. Available for MDF, Particleboard and Plywood.
  • The application for AL 7100 semi-finished resin is typically for E2 type emission products.

Formaldehyde Catcher


Formaldehyde Catcher is a property formulation of organic chemicals intended to reduce the formaldehyde content in board by 40% when used with any type of UF and MUF glue. This will allow board manufacturers to maintain adhesive cost and more importantly production speed, meeting stringent emission standard not at the expense of cost and productivity.

Urea-formaldehyde concentrate is a clear, viscous liquid consisting of formaldehyde, urea, and a small amount of water. Melamine Formaldehyde Powder Resin AL 103P


Melamine formaldehyde powder resin (AL 103P) is a special type powder used for glazing of amino moulded articles. When used as a glazing compound it imparts very high gloss to the surface of the moulded article. The finished products exhibit excellent gloss, surface hardness, stain resistance, heat resistance and chemical resistance. It needs to be reconstituted into solution by dissolving in water for impregnation of paper.

Storage

Store the AL 1000P in a cool place protected from the heat. Heat and moisture will cause powder to harden thus rendering it useless.

Glue mix viscosity and gel time are expected to increase and decrease respectively when AL 1000P approaches end of storage life. Under such circumstances, the amount of water added to the glue mix should be increased to a maximum of 65 parts by weight. (Note: recommended glue mix). Storage life at 20 - 30°C: 6 months
